Non dillutive is good for existing shareholders, really good for insiders who have much cheaper stock. Doesn't mean it was the right move. Why not raise what you need when you go public, and own what you build, instead of being highly leveraged. Their leaseback rate in Cali is high, and the interest on unsecured debt for BC will be very high.
I wouldn't go so far as to call it state of the art, also would have been nice if they went organic. They don't even have a grow team - they have job listings posted online. Growing high quality canabis in large quantities is very difficult - can't emphasize that enough.
Not the only company with a deal with canopy, but yes - an agreement before they have financing, licence, or facility, is definitely different.
