Novo cant go 'straight to mining'.  At best at this point in time a small gravity plant to finally -finally come up with some sort of handle on the tonnages and grade is planned - on an Exploration Licence. Then after much more stuffing around if past work programs are any guide slowly actually define a very small resource and put a Mining Lease into place. There is insufficient density of bulk sample results to do more than trial mine so the entire program going forward is now predicated on the small 600 tpd plant .  Now my fine feathered friend this big mine you are banging on about and the huge mill  costing hundreds of millions of dollars is according to you going to be signed off by the KL board after a tiny 600 tpd gravity plant has conducted a years work !  In the meantime Artmeis will be operating a brand new 1650 tpd Gekko plant that will process 600,000 tpa whilst one little plant of Novos with a small recycling dam is left to prove up a 'huge ' ore reserve justifing a 'huge' mine and a 'huge' CIP/CIL plant.
You are in cloud cuckoo land mate - Fact is before KL would think of comitting to a mine and plant of the magnitude you are banging on about they will either have to move to many large mobile gravity plants along the strike or ideally take over Artemis and use Radio Hill which contrary to your jaundiced view is a sizable plant in its own right at this stage of proceedings. Pray tell this forum the other alternative -not obfuscation and dream land stuff -we want to hear how Novo and KL are really going to go about achieving what you are proposing. You cant because because all you do is ramp -ramp without any real knowledge to back up your comments. I will tell you -the only other alternative is to install a 1-2 million tpa plant as the 'first step' to your grand vision of some huge plant and if you think KL will commit to a 1-2 mtpa plant on the basis of some widespread assays from one lonely 600 tpd gravity plant you have rocks in your head.

It is either a lot of big mobile plants -which Novo have not announced -utilise Radio Hill or commission Gekko or someone like that to build a new interim 'first step' gravity plant exactly like Artemis are commissioning. Oh ! but that is a rust bucket - I can just see your reaction when they do a deal with Artemis because if they dont it will take a long time to get even a plant that size operational in their own right with all the permitting in a new area -and all this is based at this stage on pure guesswork from a small gravity plant. Pigs might fly -
I rest my case -why dont you call up your mate ES and get him to put you right -

Interesting commentary, Rhino.

Why are you educating me in the nuances of mining ?  I am not the one that has proposed or desires to mine NVO's tenements.  KL has announced this honour, and has invested in NVO to do so.  I would imagine the constant NEM on-site visits have a similar purpose.  And in full agreement, NVO has stated to all of us that they are planning a mining operation.  I believe QH stated in plain english that "Novo is treating this as if it is a mine".

But as always, I am appreciative of your Australian translation of QH's english.  It is educational for us all to understand the true reality.

Cheers

This mint ! My two favourite commentators in this story of discovery!!

i will admit I have fallen but not completely to the sceptic side ( more due to the size some people think this is going to be)yet still will not sell as you never know ... I am more sided that base metal discovery will raise its head and low cost at surface small/medium gold deposits will pop up (conglomerate hosted). Until some actual grades and indications happen I'm not sure. After seeing the sgs toy with a gold detector head bolted to it I cannot for the life of me understand what is trying to be achieved. Thank god for Artemis and the gekko plant . I still have my fingers crossed that QH lives his dream of proving up what he has set out to do but right now we wait till the gekko plant starts on 47 patch and or the 48,000 ton permitted mt oscar .
