Have you not read the Fedgov. clinical trial.? After the device is implanted 3 weeks later get immunosuprrresion drugs, you should get vasularization and reslts within few weeks, 3 months for sure. So you wont be waiting forever for results. Also study is open ended.... which means can expand scope of study if thresholds are met and positive. So if they stop giving immunosuprression to patienst then and the pouch is shown to be producing insulin ...... you might have a cure for diabetes.
