Spin out

Spin outCould this recent price drop be due to investors finally realizing that the value has decreased through the spinout, not the overall company, but this stock in particular? Or am I missing something fundamental about the spinouts? It is my understanding that the two new stocks created take away value from this one, as explained in this article.
