RE:Could this be a home run?maaster wrote: For the record. I consulted for Sheldon Inwentash over 27 years ago after he started Pinetree Capital. Sheldon had invested in early stage mostly tech type companies at the time. Sheldon offered me office space in the Exchange Tower and asked me to represent Gene Screen ( Largest Shareholder in Visisble Genetics "VG") NSI Communications was another company involved in satelite communications.. I consulted for about a year. Nobody at that time even knew what DNA sequencing was when Visible Genetics was founded by John Stevens and Sheldon. It was a vision an idea (concept if you will) of the future for mapping the human DNA. I remember going to" VG" Bay street offices and lab at the time to see what this DNA sequencing machine was all about. I remember seeing the prototype of the DNA sequence machine thinkimg, wow what the heck is this ugly toaster oven with no windows going to do, to change the world? Well it was eventually acquired by Bayer for $1.5 Billion. I can also mention the invitation by Pierre Lasonde to invest in the late Claudette Lasaonde's company they had just started called Enghouse ENGH-TSX for seed capital. The first investors like Sheldon bought in around $0.50 or so. Enghouses market Cap today is $1.85 Billion. These are just two examples of success most are not aware of. Simply put, anyone would be lucky if they had just one of these home runs in a lifetime. Those investments are fact and just a few examples of the types of home run potentials IDK may potentialy hit.
TRANSPARENCY I DO NOT RECIEVE ANY TYPE OR FORM OF COMPENSATION FROM SHELDON INWENTASH or any of his related or affiliated companies in any form.
I'm not here to either recommend or advise anybody of any investments to make. I'm here to simply support someone I have a great deal of respect for. Someone who gave me my start, as my Linkedin page will describe in some detail.
The risks from our perspective are very clear with the investments we have taken in ThreeD Capital to date. Capital is at 100% risk of potential loss on the downside. Upside potential return 10-20-30 bagger with just one success coming out of ThreeD Capitals stable of investments. We invested in Sheldon Inwentash and his track record of home runs. These are very early days in invested companies ThreeD has taken positions in, from our point of view with the highest of risks with the highest of reward potential. It is a position to view 5-10 years out. My personal position is 2,000,000 shares with our funds close to the same amount as initial postions. Its a bet on Sheldon, period.
