Good morning everyone! I'm sure many of you read our edition Tuesday on Namaste Technologies, and the massive breakout that's been going on with many individual cannabis stocks recently. It's a rapidly developing theme that seems to finally be taking hold across North America.

Well today's the day we're going to let a new idea out of the bag - an idea we think is not only ripe for the high times of individual cannabis stocks, but an idea we think could end up being quite the developing story over the next several months and beyond - based on certain regulatory changes that continue to take place in the Cannabis space here in the U.S., and more importantly Canada.

Stay with me here, as today's edition is arguably one of the longest ever, but for good reasons.

To set the record straight, a record high 64% of Americans support legalizing marijuana for recreational use, according to a 2017 Gallup Poll. Support for legalization is rooted in changing perceptions of the drug's potential harm, as well as the prospect of hundreds of millions of dollars in marijuana sales and excise tax revenue for state governments.

The growing acceptance of marijuana among Americans has also been reflected in the ballot box. Currently, eight states and Washington, D.C., have legalized recreational marijuana. The eight states are Alaska, California, Colorado, Massachusetts, Maine,  Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

Pro-pot initiatives passed in eight of the nine states in which they made it to the ballot in November 2016. Voters in Arkansas, Florida, Montana and North Dakota approved or expanded medical marijuana laws in their states. In Maine, Massachusetts, Nevada and California, voters approved recreational pot. Only Arizona's push for full legalization failed.

As for Canada, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is pressing ahead with legislation to legalize cannabis with a goal of having this accomplished by July of next year. Under the proposed legislation, the Canadian government would license the growing of cannabis by tightly regulating producers, while setting standards for potency and penalties for abuse.

What does this all mean for the cannabis space, and certain stocks associated with it? Growth and potential investment opportunity.

Now, let me shift the focus a bit on a few key points and misnomers regarding cannabis, its compounds and its potential benefits.

The cannabis plant has dozens of different cannabinoids, which are chemical compounds. As of late, the most popular cannabinoid was tetrahydrocannabinol or THC. THC is infamous for creating the euphoric high that many get from the cannabis plant.

However, another cannabinoid, cannabinol (CBD), is gaining attention for its many potential wellness benefits. While THC and CBD are commonly grouped together, they are separate entities that react differently in the body. The biggest difference between THC and CBD is the psychoactive property of THC. Since CBD does not create the effect of a high, it is practical for medical use. It is also important to note that THC is an illegal substance, while CBD is legal when sourced properly.

So while the masses tend to think everything cannabis is going to make you high, you can see that actually isn't the case - not necessarily anyway.

I'm not advocating or denying the potential benefits of any cannabis compound here, because I'm clearly not a doctor, a biologist or anything of the sort. I'm just giving you the landscape here from what my research has found from what I believe to be reputable sites online.

Now, before I introduce you to today's new idea, I did find some extremely compelling tidbits of interesting information about some recent investments being made in and around the cannabis space, as well as how certain high profile groups and organizations are viewing the potential benefits of the drug. It's really starting to get compelling.

  • Corona brewer to invest nearly $200 million in Canadian marijuana grower, with plans to develop cannabis-infused drinks.
  •
  • Constellation Brands Inc. has agreed to take a 9.9% stake in Canopy Growth Corp. (OTCBB: TWMJF) (TSE: WEED.TO), a Canadian marijuana company, and plans to work with the grower to develop and market cannabis-infused beverages.
  •
  • US cannabis firm Puration is developing a psychoactive drink ready to launch in Canada when the country legalizes recreational use next year. The drink will target a lucrative cannabis market which could be worth as much as $8 billion (?4.75bn), almost twice the size of the country's drinks industry, according to Deloitte. Canada's drinks industry is currently worth an estimated $5bn. The Dallas-based cannabis firm did not go into detail about the drink in production, aside from that it will be infused with THC, the key psychoactive component of the drug. Puration, owned by American Cannabis Innovations Conglomerated (ACI), already produces sports drinks infused with CBD, a non-psychoactive chemical found in the drug used as a pain reliever and to treat epilepsy.
  •
  • Aurora Cannabis Inc. (OTCBB: ACBFF) (TSE: ACB.TO) recently announced an offer to purchase all of the issued and outstanding common shares of CanniMed Therapeutics Inc. (OTCBB: CMMDF) (TSE: CMED.TO). At the time, the offer was valued at $24.00 per CanniMed share - a 56.9% premium to CanniMed closing price prior to Aurora's takeover proposal announcement - with a lockup agreements in place with shareholders holding 38% of CanniMed shares, including CanniMed's 3 largest shareholders.
  •
  • In 1970, Philip Morris covertly sought government research funds from the Department of Justice (DOJ), then overseen by Attorney General John N. Mitchell, a close friend and ally of President Richard Nixon. The funds were to be used to study the drug, according to documents obtained under litigation by the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Philip Morris, now known as Altria, was so enthusiastic over the prospects of cashing in on marijuana that in 1993 it sought the French trademark and intellectual property rights for the name "Marley," named after Jamaican celebrity Bob Marley, an avid and well-known advocate for the drug.
  •
  • A recent study co-funded by ESPN and the National Institute on Drug Abuse found that 52% of retired football players had used prescription pain drugs (opioids) during their professional careers. Of those, 63% admitted they received the painkillers from coaches, trainers, fellow teammates and other sources. Eugene Monroe, former offensive tackle with the Baltimore Ravens, was the first NFL player to openly advocate the use of cannabis to treat chronic pain and sports-related injuries. In an August interview in Rolling Stone magazine, Monroe advocated for more research to treat chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE). CTE is a degenerative brain condition found in the brains of professional football players. In an open letter to the NFL on Nov. 11, 2016, Doctors for Cannabis Regulation in Washington, D.C., urged the league to reconsider its policy on medical marijuana use. The letter stated, in part: "Pain is just one condition where cannabis shows tremendous promise. A recent clinical trial in Israel found that cannabis produced significant benefits in 10 of 11 patients with Crohn's disease, with 45% going into complete remission."
  •
  • Several former NFL players advocated the use of cannabis as a healing medicine last month during the Southwest Cannabis Conference and Expo in Phoenix. A six-member panel consisted of four former NFL athletes -- including Marvin Washington, Mark Restelli, Jim McMahon and Grant Mattos -- discussed the benefits of the medical use of cannabis for athletes in the NFL alongside cannabis therapeutics specialist, Uma Dhanabalan, and former Colorado State University student-athlete, Treyous Jarrells. Former New York Jet Marvin Washington said allowing the use of marijuana by athletes would help address major problems.

Enter My Cloudz, Inc. Gridiron's current innovative CBD products include Gridiron MVP(TM) water, Gridiron MVP(TM) concentrate, Gridiron CBD H2O Probiotics(TM) water, Gridiron Premium Hemp Salve, Gridiron Premium Hemp Oil and Gridiron Premium Hemp Oil Capsules.

Gridiron's unique flagship product, Gridiron MVP(TM) water and concentrate is an innovative formulation that delivers Humic and Fulvic minerals, Probiotics, Electrolytes, 77+ trace minerals and Premium Nano CBD with a pH of 10.

Founded by Darren Long, former NFL tight-end and 3x All American College Football Player, Darren became an advocate of health and proper nutrition as a result of the symptoms from Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). Darren is on the frontline, working with many of his former NFL teammates and friends that are victims of CTE (brain concussions) a debilitating disease. However, it appears the desire and need for CBD drink products and capsules are taking the entire health and wellness industry by storm.

CBD seems to be getting a tremendous amount of credit for not just pain relief, and other potential debilitating disease benefits, but also aiding quick recovery for those active athletes and regular workout folks looking for a healthy edge. And, it's the latter that could blow the entire beverage industry right out of the water if these claims continue to prove themselves out.

You also just read what some of the biggest beverage producers in the country are doing in terms of positioning themselves within the growing CBD beverage space. And, with Darren Long's involvement and passion for helping high profile athletes that are victims of CTE (brain concussions), this is one story that could end up taking on a life of its own in the media over the next several months.

You always hear me say, the best time to buy the right small stock is when nobody knows about it or nobody wants it. Well, you can clearly see in this chart of MYYZ here, virtually nobody knows about this potential play yet. But, I'm going to assume that's not going to take very long at all.

Additionally, when it comes to investing in any small stock, I'm always a fan of ideas that are potentially disruptive - companies that could change the landscape of a specific sector, or at the very least a company that is offering something truly unique that the consumer wants.

I think we may have both on our hands here - a stock very few know about yet, and a stock that could end up making some serious hay in the beverage markets going forward. Time will tell, but MYYZ is one stock I think is not only worth speculating on right now, but one that if the company can deliver on the fundamental front, could end up being a big winner someday.

It's clearly got some work to do, and no small stock ever comes without a high degree of risk, but if you have an appetite for small stocks with nice potential, you may want to consider digging deeper into My Cloudz, Inc. (MYYZ), and specifically Gridiron BioNutrients, which you can go to their web site to review, and buy and try some of their products here: https://gridironbionutrients.com/.

Trying a company's product is an excellent way to determine if it's worth your investing consideration.
