RE:Did anyone listen to the conference call yet?

RE:Did anyone listen to the conference call yet?I just listened to the call. I thought it would be very informative. I couldn’t have been more wrong. There were only two questions by analysts and they were weak. I’m amazed at how simple and uninformed many of these analysts are when being financially sophisticated and informed are keys to their jobs. Oh well, I digress.

Doug and Brad are intelligent people who seem sincere and competent. I could be wrong but that’s my opinion. I’m not ready yet to jump ship. But I’m very concerned that Input Capital is able to reach only a very small number of farmers. How much value do most farmers see in Input Capital when a 10% increase in canola prices kills almost any growth in capital and marketing streams? Is the surge in mortgage streams mainly coming from existing client farmers? I guess I should root for depressed canola prices. That seem unintuitive.

As I wrote in an earlier post, investors will be largely in the dark until February 2019 as the next two quarters will likely offer little information. So investing in INP requires a lot of patience and faith. I can be a patient investor but I like to leave faith out of investing. As I said though, at this point I’m not jumping ship.

But if I see more options spit out or company insiders selling large quantities of shares then I will likely cut my losses. Hopefully this doesn’t happen as I still see potential. But the lack of streaming growth and other disappointing results have given me pause.
