RE:RE:texasNo one cares about your lousy opinion. Opinions are like azzholes EVERYONE has one.
But lets see we have two schools, one has PAT1 installed at every entrance one school does not. The school with patriot one installed is monitored by a security gaurd in a safe location on the school the other school is not equipped with PAT 1. Both schools get approached by a man carrying multiple weapons. Both schools are equipped with two armed security gaurds.
Which school is going to have the best reaction time to identify react and overcome the problem. I would say the school with PAT 1 is better equipped to react, identify and overcome the problem. Im just saying comparing two identical scenarios I would have to say the school with PAT will handle the situation faster and with better clarity of the problem they face.
You seem to think they PAT 1 would not help at all, I beg to differ. I humbly believe PAT 1 installed in schools is not a silver bullet. But it will give the responders a slight edge on reaction time and also be able to access the threat in real time to the school equipped with PAT1.
The school with PAT can imediately call the police and notify the armed gaurds, where as the school without PAT, would still will not even know a shooter has entered the building. PAT 1 for the win !!!! Again PAT1 is not designed to stop a shooter. It was designed to give advance warning so appropriate solutions to the threat can be decided and deployed much faster than without PAT1.
Get it !!!!! in two identical shooting scenarios locations PAT 1 equipped will be faster in reaction and responce time and when seconds count ina shooting it may be the time that is needed to overcome the threat.

1. Mental illness
2. Abundance of Guns and easy access
unless both the above are tackled and the school windows are all bulletproof, I am not entirely sure how PAT1 will help.
You can install PAT1 on the entrance gates, what happens a crazy human being comes all guns blazing, break the class window and enter ?
