The access to others thoughts, either negative or positive, is of value. This is a market, and the more insight one has to those who are "in" the market, the more you are getting valuable feedback. The trick is reading between the lines, the comments. You can not assess a value of anything without a market that prices the thing. That tchotchke that you think is worth $$$$$, may only be worth $ to the market.Yes, maybe there is a buyer or two who will pay $$$$$ but finding them may be elusive.
The thing is, there are only two buyers in the markets. Those who buy, later to sell at a higher price within a short time frame, and those who buy, and hold, over a longer time frame, as an investment. Gold is an investment, to be held for all time, used as a hedge against the unforseen. Same for a home. The value is constant, though up and down. The first is a trader, the later, an investor.
At this point in time, a public company, not making any profit, is NOT an investment, but rather, a gamble.
The events that can move its value, up, or down, is what a trader is watching for. To buy at a price that mights soon rise as events unfold.
Listening (reading) to the bashers, and the pumpers is intrinsic to the individule who engages in the market. Information, opinions, and thoughts about an object are important to keeping ones focus on what is important. What the market will bare, and what the possible future value may be.
I miss the old days of gathering in a brokerage, and gathering thoughts and opinions from fellow players, being able to sift and ponder over others valuations of this or that stock. Know what the market is thinking, and you are in a better position than the player who is fully sold on the stock. Rabid enthusiasm seen by some here, and on the facebook group (yes, I am a member there) always gives me pause. Just as the merciless bashing also gives me insight as to what the market is doing.
Bottom line is, as we all know, and are seeing, is no stock goes straight up. Up and down is the nature of the beast. The more you understand that beast, the better you may position yourself to protect your money, and, all being good, make out like a bandit.

That anyone would eschew this forum, or any other, where one can gleam a piece of knowledge that may help you to play the market, is very ostrich-like. It is your money you are gambling, and like Kevin O'leary says again, and again, I don't want to endanger my money. Too much Rah-Rah scares me, too much bashing intrigues me. All of it of value, if you can read between the lines.
