Sooooo.....here is a question from a card carrying Tweed customer and stock owner. As of right now, it is cheaper (actually much cheaper) to order the product from a non-lisenced provider. The competition has as equal or better selection and quality. The convenience is exactly the same. ( Both deleived by Canada Post) If legalization doesn't match or undercut the price of black market competition, how will any profits be seen? In my experience marijuana consumers are pretty well used to being on the other side of the law. The novelty of being "legal" will wear off. The gov't cronies are ultimately going to have to come up with an answer.
If only you weren't such an idiot. No person in their right mind is going to buy weed from the black market when they can buy it from a guaranteed, government regulated source......see alcohol and tobacco. Of course there are those people that buy illegal cigarettes and we all no how much they cut into legal tobacco revenues (sarcasm).let me get this straight.....I have a choice to walk into an LCBO like store and buy what I know is guaranteed to be safe with known THC and CBD content for $10 or I can buy from an unknown source with unknown ingredients and unknown THC and CBD content for 7 dollars and for the $3 I save I might get lucky enough to be criminally charged or fined. (More sarcasm) I and 90% of all other people would be happy to pay the $3 extra for safety and security reasons. It's a no brainer. //Now as for the black market thriving in Colorado....let's break that down shall we. Legal weed sales have skyrocketed in Colorado since being legalized so your theory is proven wrong there. The study that was done on the Colorodo black market actually states that illegal sales of marajuana, despite increased illegal marajuana activity, has fallen dramatically. How is that possible you ask(because you know nothing) Here is how......illegal grow ops are everywhere in colorodo right now because they can hide in the cache of licensed producers but they don't sell the illegal weed in Colorado, they export it to states where Weed is still illegal. So let's count how many provinces there will be after legalization that's still have marijuana as a banned substance. The answer to that is 0 zilch nada. Canada will not have the same problem as the US because they are legalizing marijuana nationally and as a result the black market will have nowhere to sell their ragweed. So please take your amateur attempt to bash canopy and the industry and just disappear. You are uneducated transparent and easily dismissed.
