Let's face it, management was doing everything contradictory to what even Americans are willing to now pay for in their E&P companies. Exxon has been getting killed since they announced huge expenditures going forward in hopes of greatly increasing production. Now it's all about returning capital to shareholders along with fiscal prudence. 

 
Speaking of Exxon you think Rex Tillerson is looking for work?? Lol
