Mr. Parminder Singh, also known as Par, has been the President at Intellectual Ventures Canada since 2009. Mr. Singh serves as an Advisor at CrossPacific Capital Partners. He serves as a Technical Advisor to numerous start-up companies and to the Canadian Federal Government on Technology Policy. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in building, operating, and managing international businesses for private companies, government clients, and multinational corporations. He served as Managing Director of Microsoft Canada Development Centre (MCDC) of Microsoft Corporation since November 2007. He has more than 25 years of professional experience in building, operating, and managing international businesses for private companies, government clients, and multinational corporations in North America, Asia and Europe. Prior to joining the Microsoft Canada Development Centre, he was the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Evenio Media, where he was responsible for its core software design and the development of an award winning multimedia publishing platform. He has been the Chairman at ME Resource Corp since October 12, 2012. He gained extensive experience with sales, marketing and business development when he served as the Vice President of World Wide Market Development of Ensequence, Inc.'s Interactive Television publishing platform. Early in his career, he spent four years with Microsoft, operating as the Director of Business Development for Xbox. For Xbox, he provided strategic counsel to develop strategies and lead negotiations with major manufacturing and content partners. He also served as the General Manager for Xbox in Japan. He also served General Manager for the Microsoft’s Home Entertainment Division for Japan/Asia. Prior to joining Microsoft in 2001, he spent 15 years designing, constructing and launching communications and broadcast satellites and satellites systems for private companies and governments around the world. He also founded three successful start-up companies that focused on the areas of multimedia, internet software tools development and electronics manufacturing. He has held executive positions at companies in Canada and US including: Telesat Canada, Motorola, Teledesic, FreeInternet Networks and 5th Link Software. Additionally, he has consulted for numerous companies including: Boeing, Acer, ATT, Flextronics, Wistron, Hughes Aircraft Company, Space Systems/Loral, Nortel and Bell Northern Research. He has been a Director of ME Resource Corp. since October 12, 2012. He serves as a Director of Junior Achievement of British Columbia, DigiBC, Mgestyk, Wildcard, Sanotron. He has been a Member of Advisory Board at Sprylogics International Corp since October 10, 2013. He served as a Director of Arris Holdings Inc. until April 19, 2012. Mr. Singh holds a B. Eng. in Electrical/Controls Engineering from Dalhousie University (Technical University of Nova Scotia).
