RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Insiders BuyingThat may be one cause for a cross but I think more commonly it's when the buyer and seller are represented by the same brokerage. The brokerage will simply switch ownership of the shares internally, without involving the open market, then report the transaction to the tsx. Normally it's reserved for larger blocks of shares. I'm unsure of whether the buy or sell side can be made up of multiple parties though. Never been involved in one but that's my understanding.
