Thank God for Barrick. Thank God for Oceana...and the others.
Once the accumulation of shares by Barrick triggered a tender offer at 20%, odds are good, Oceana would respond with their own offer. No guarantee, but they are a substantial holder here and at GSV. Another story there today. There could be other suitors (NEM?) as well.
There's probably enough of the final picture showing here already that there could be a bidding war.
I hope. Tocqueville, other holders of size, and regular shareholders would be romanced.
Oceana didn't buy into two Nevada explorers to go home alone. Not sure, but I think they reaffirmed their GSV position today.
How do you see it?
