tuff layer may indicate high grade gold
In a recent interview , Quentin said that there as evidence of broken up tuffaceaous material at the bottom of last summer's Purdy's Reward samples ( average grade 67 gm. per tonne ) These Purdy's Reward samples were only 8 to 10 cm. thick and Quentin said that they were on basement rock. No wonder he wants to go back and take bulk samples from this area. The " tuff " could indicate high grade gold conglomerate if more gold was being precipitated out of sea water solution at the time when this " tuff " layer was deposited. Then this layer could help to quantify a resource much more quickly
