RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:I wrote my post...Where are you guys getting your info from?  I work for a Canadian Brokerage.  A firm has an overall inventory on their books that are distributed among client accounts.  From this inventory they don't know if a particular account has an open order.  Shorters at my firm don't even have to pre-approve from the lending desk for most issuers.  Also, client positions are never removed from a clients account (that is ridiculous).....stating that because someone mentioned that had happened to them on Bombardier.  Clueless.
