Price of Oil

Price of OilWhen the price of oil falls by $2.00 a barrel in a day and has fallen nearly $7.00 from its recent peakand Air Canada's stock does not respond, It is clear that Canadian institutions ,in general are afraid to invest in this sector. Most are closet indexers. They prefer to own the five banks ,BCE, CN, Suncor,Loblaws etc. Check it out, how many own Canada Goose, Shopify and other hifh performance Canadian stocks.

As someone on this bosrd stated, they will onlty want to own it in the 30's as it will then have a higher index welght. .Buffet and Robertson pay attention to the current numbers not to ancient history..Holders of AC should not be inclined to sell to early. Some day coming  when AC contiues to growi and starts paying a dividend, the Canadian institutions will find it socially acceptable to own an airline stock.
