RE:CANOPY GROWTH (WEED) VS VILLAGE FARMS (VFF)
VFF is very attractive and I agree. Strains like Blue Dream, GSC (Girl Scout Cookies), etc will be more important than manufacturers.
Manufacturers will compete for "Tier 1, Tier 2 and etc" status.
WEED is Tier1, lower cost producers at $1 or sub $1 per gram like APH and VFF will also be Tier1.
Those who just resell anything they can get their hands on, like ACB have been doing for years, might be Tier2
Then, there will be the "craft" premium brands but really, that's only that 16% of buyers. The bulk of the buyers will look for
1. Strains as the #1 deciding factor. Ask anyone who uses since there is a big difference in effect.
2. Price as the #2 deciding factor
3. Producer as the #3 deciding factor
My biggest problem with VFF is the convoluted partnership they have. It's not clean cut. Aphria at $2.4B market cap, 250,000 KGs production and sub $1 per gram production is the most attractive one.
Disclaimer: I own all of these. WEED, APH and VFF
