RE:Re: Potential strategy ESGBU,
I had in mind AEM, not EO. In his own declaration, EO and his wife and children has just over 8Ms (8.3M according some souce at CEO.ca). I believe he could have another 5Ms from other family members, plus some supporters to bring to a max of 5% as one of the AZX NR says.
AEM has 8%OS and ES has 7%OS (not counting the 33.3M wts and any extra purchase from the market). ES has his choice to bring his holding to 10%, or even higher to 20%, to signal his seriousness. Buying from the open market, even to get to 10% (he would need to purchase 14Ms) would upset the market too much, there will not be enough shares at low prices, and that would certainly cause a runaway of the SP. My guess would be that ES would hold the 33.3M wts @0.09 in reserve, until later. He just might, emphasis might, bring his holding to 10% at the right price in a PP. That would make him go past AEM to become #1 holder (just behind us AZX United @12%OS, lol). Just for show, or wave a red flag in front of a bull? The other bull that's lurking in the corner?
Imagine if we were ES, what would happen if some outfit like ELD (heaven forbid) came in with an superb offer. What would we do? Run over to see Sean Boyd (or wait for Sean to come over to see us in Toronto), or should we text George Burns in Vancouver?
Note: Just noticed from the 10-yr SP chart for AZX that everytime there was a significant PP (but under $5M...EO's habit to arrange something around $5M, just enough for 2 yrs, then repeat), the SP seemed to have a good jump, then came back down in the following months. The worst decline was from ~2010 when AEM made the first investment at $0.20 to ~2013 when it dropped to some $0.03. The hi and lo were $0.26 (2010) and $0.02 (Jan 2016). Quite a fluctuation under EO's reign.

Right now, EO seems to be only an operational thorn in everybody's side, but really if he only has 5%, why the concern?. The current BOD are very keen on discrediting him (warranted imo), but almost overkill when you consider how little shares EO supposedly has for support...
