RE:Send a message to company "I will vote at his AGM, but have never done so in the past at least online and I am spending a lot of time trying to get these control numbers..... but it was pointed out to me this is good opportunity to become familiar how the online or phone voting happens and what I have to do to set up the control numbers....this will come in real handy when it’s time to vote if the company should belooking to accept a buyout offer....we will be asked to vote so be prepared.."
I deal with RBC Investing and they just send me the voting documents with control numbers and instructions for phone, mail and online voting. I don't know if this is specific to RBC but wouldn't think so. Maybe there is some way of having your brokerage automatically send these things to you or maybe I checked off some box on my account application when I opened it that makes this happen. I should mention that I get voting documnets for all the companies I own.
