RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Is Aimia/Aeroplan for Real...OR...Just a Scam? The hole that Aimia/Aeroplan is in just got a lot deeper with your logic and the pile of sh!t you just added on top of the hole.
You seem to be confirming that Aimia/Aeroplan is just a scam.
I will reply to your post so that the stench of your business logic can be deodorized.
The CBC News article was about an Aeroplan member who was concerned about his 800,000 points.
The points don't expire…but…Aeroplan terminates the member's account? That is even worse!
Aimia wants to keep a clean balance sheet. Great! How about "no balance sheet". If the Aimia doesn't exist anymore (bankrupt etc.), it will not need a balance sheet.
Aimia/Aeroplan will not generate any free cash flow if it does not have any business partners or its 5 million members…because of its flawed business model.
Aeroplan needs to repair its reputation.
Aeroplan's flawed business model with expiring points…or rather…terminating Aeroplan members after 1 year of inactivity is the wrong business approach that will be a disaster for Aimia/Aeroplan.
Regarding your comments about village idiots, the share price for Aimia/Aeroplan was:
approx. $20.00 in 2014
approx. $9.00 in 2017 pre-Air Canada announcement terminating agreement w/Aimia/Aeroplan
approx. $2.00 now
Who is the village idiot?
Sooo…what's your point?

Yes, Aimia/Aeroplan has the potential to be a much bigger company than it ever was.
However...
The expiring points policy is a serious flaw in their business model.
A serious flaw that would prevent them from digging themselves out of the hole they are in.
Also, keep flapping your mouth...we need the breeze for a cooling effect on a hot summer day.
You sound upset that you lost your 5000 points.
You think a loyalty program should not incent it's members to be loyal? you think the company should keep incuring Opex for members that are not engaged in the program. The points dont fawk!ng expire! They are terminate the members account that are no longer active in the program. Maybe I can dumb this down enough for you to understand:
- It keep cost down - why should Aimia keep paying to keep account active if the owners of the account is no longer active in the program?
- It incent members to continue to accumulate points AKA generate revenue - Members that have Aeroplan co-branded CC are not going to expire
- It keep a clean balance sheet - How long would you want this liability to stay on the balance sheet when members become inactive?
- It generate additional free cash flow as it is revenue without redemptions
You argument about why they should not terminate inactive account is what? That some clients might be upset that their reward accounts are closed in reward program that they don't participate?!? lol great agrument. The fact that you think that if the company would not teminate accounts that are no longer active it would all of a sudden out of the "hole" is just demontrating how much you don't understand this business. It has no material impact.
All the sh!t you posted before is solely based on them not terminated inactive accounts? You are a joke, you hav nothing valuable to sya apart from posting sh!t. You have 0 credibility and you even rate your own posting to 5* just so that you can feel like you are smart.
Village idiots don't stop talking, village idiots are unable to understand even the simplest things. Village idiots reply to other ppl by just personal attacts instead of posting real insights. You are the village idiot.
