RE:RE:RE:CBC News - NL/Labrador exploration.....Hearne the focus here is totally on the offshore, although there was a time when western NL was the centre of attention. But when Hibernia went into production in November of 1997 that all changed and all the majors wanted a piece of the offshore and all the big money went there. At present as you know it's only small companies like SHP that are involved in western NL. You may know that the NL Government is spinning off Nalcor's oil and gas division into a crown corporation.
That may be positive for exploration in western NL. The oil and gas division is profitable from its interests in offshore oil. You may also know that Nalcor drilled two of a three well program at Parson's Pond in 2011/12. They did not drill the third well because they got the information they 
wanted from the first two. They released very little information on what they found. So who knows?
They may be a catalyst in future.

I did not mean to type as much, but anyway, a couple of thoughts to ponder.
