It was Iran, not the Saudis, who kept the production increase down.

Sure Casper - it's all because of soon to be re-sanctioned Iran.  Saudi was responsible for initially flooding the market with cheap crude and they can do it again.  Nothing happens in OPEC without the Saudis.  Btw - France's Total dare not invest any more into Iran's fields right now given the situation with the dead nuke agreement (restricted foreign investment will choke Iranian production growth more than anything).  So in that respect what happened with Iran had more to do with Trump and the Americans than anyone.

Are you on drugs? Trump is doing everything he can to kill the world's economies with his stupid tarriffs against American allies, and picking a trade fight with China. The guy is a total moron.

Nope.  No drugs for me - I'm anti-canabis legalization (our country has enough people that think like they're doped up without wacky tabacky).  IMO Trump withdrawing from the lousy anti-cheap energy wealth redistributive Paris agreement was the kick start.  By re-emphasizing the use of cheap hydrocarbon and coal energy while cutting out volumes of expensive regulations Trump is making American industries more competitive again which will create jobs and new investment - both suffered tremdously under Obama's 8 year rule.  With America becoming more competitive with a growing expanding economy the rest of the World HAS to follow suit or risk stagnation and being shut out of American markets.  The EU and Asia simply has no choice but to move towards cheaper energy to level the playing field.

As for Trump's tariffs....do you think he over-reacted to Canada letting China use the NAFTA deal to sneakily circumvent tariffs to dump billions and billions of dollars worth of their steel and aluminum in the U.S.?  Canada had a FULL YEAR to do something about it and J.T. and his merry band of progressive empty heads DID NOTHING.  Taking advantage of trade partners by using bad faith tactics to earn favor with other nations has consequences.  IMO what Trump did is justified and smart.  Other countries will think twice about pulling stunts on the U.S. through their trade agreements.  We did it to ourselves.
