Another one! Recent updates as an articlehttps://ceo.ca/@Newton/newtonupdates-aan-aton-resources-on-the-road-to-rodruin
Continuing with my articles from April 12, 2018 Aton $AAN Progresses Road to Rodruin and May 4, 2018 Update from Aton Resources $AAN on the Road to Rodruin, it is my pleasure to share a few more photographs of the ongoing work at Rodruin.
First, an update from Saturday June 23rd.
Javier Ordua, Exploration Manager Aton Resources, provided an extended quote on the photo as below:
"We re-started work on June 20 at Rodruin after the Ramadan and Eid-al-Fitr break, and as you can see the access road has now advanced to the main zone of mineralization, located on the hill above and to the right of the excavator. We have previously sampled high grade mineralisation up to 40m below ground level in the ancient “Aladdins Slot” workings on this hill, located at the western end of the South Ridge. We will have 2 excavators on site and will be starting work on drill pad preparation within a couple of days. Capital Drilling are also making preparations to mobilise their track-mounted multi-purpose drill rig to site, and the first-pass RC drilling programme is on schedule to commence in July."
Javi also provided a couple more photos on June 28th, 2018 showing 2 excavators working on drill access road and pad preparation at Aladdin’s Hill.
The first photo shows a saddle in the ridgeline, where the road will make a switchback to heading further up the hill. A striking desert scene:
The second photo shows the same scene from a different angle. I believe the excavator in foreground is working on a drill pad and the other one is breaking a road up to the top of Aladdin's Hill. Access is looking good here for exploration drilling! See the photo:
Javier Ordua, Exploration Manager for Aton Resources had some important things to say about these pictures.
"It is encouraging to see the dark chocolate brown gossan, which is strongly suggestive of mineralisation, in the area where the lower of the 2 excavators is working. Note that while carbonate rocks were outcropping at surface here there was little or no outcropping gossan, which gives us confidence that we are likely to encounter more mineralisation in this immediate area than was necessarily obvious at surface."
Will Aton collar their first hole at Rodruin in gossan? Watch for importat news soon as they start testing this large, exciting new discovery. Refer back to our initial interviews following the discovery for more.
As in recent news, Aton anticipates drilling at Rodruin to start in July, 2018. They didn't hit their ambitious goal of drilling by April 2018, but they are making steady progress. Please note that I am compensated to prepare and distribute these updates.
