Oh, and another thing... Can't a guy just take a break?
In the past, when I took a month or two off to recharge, I announced it, sometimes saying that I'd had enough and that I was outta here. It was like quitting smoking, done it hunnerts of times. It became a joke. Everybody would call me out on that, saying that he always comes back, which of course I always have.
This time I just walked away without saying anything and has it ever been great. Quiet. Not too many calls, emails or messages. Didn't have to take all the public hits and calls for me to be run out of Dodge.
But fighting for good and right things is always worth it, and here we are.
By any measure, Bioasis is deep into an incredibly important phase. We are engaged in proving and explaining the workings of the xB3 science in the most rigorous ways, with the goals of positioning xB3 for clinical and commercial success. That job continues. It requires the highest standards of planning and execution. It's not easy, it's not cheap, but if these studies prove what we all hope they can prove, we may position Bioasis as a primary focal point in a new age of neuroscience. The delivery of drugs to the CNS has that potential.
The current world record for the marathon is 2:02:57. That record was achieved by somebody who crossed the finish line totally spent, somebody who hung it all out there but left himself something for the last needed "kick" before he crossed the line and basked in the glory of that great accomplishment.
This Bioasis story has been a marathon. Shoulders are drooping. Our gait is uneven. Can we finish? Is the pain worth it? Or should we go sit down somewhere in this last mile?
No, sir. This is a world class race and this is one guy who will see it through. I will cross that finish line.
Let's get our heads back into it. We want that prize, so let's go claim it.
More to come...
