Nickel Hopeium?

Nickel Hopeium?
I was hoping that the LME would move ahead with a separate pricing tier for Class 1 Nickel vs Class 2. However, it appears that there is a lot of resistance from the Class 1 producers. Apparently worried that a separate Class 1 price would drive down the price of Class 2 Nickel, thus affecting their operations. Politics as usual, nothing new .

The bright spot to remember is that Class 1 Nickel now sells at 5% to 30% premium over Class 2 Nickel at various locations across the globe, even without the LME official pricing. I would imagine that this  premium will increase in the coming years once 8-1-1 EV battery production ramps up by 2020.

I am hoping that BAR makes a serious move on the Nickel play NOW. It appears to be the logical decision to make? Inventories are on a steady decline and this trend should continue, with Nickel prices hopefully slowly rising in the future.

A lot of hopeium  in the words above – but what else do we have left?
