Go to the facebook site "lydian armenia", there are pictures of the advanced constructions and there is regularly news (good or bad). It is in Armenian but google translation works very well.

In my opinion, it is a minority who blocks the roads and I do not have the impression it is representative of the communities surrounding the project. From my point of view, I will be more likely to say that there is a silent majority for this project because lydian can bring a lot of money and benefits for these communities. It can be seen that workers are starting to demonstrate in favor of the project and say that the measures taken to control environmental hazards are high.

A group of people will be made to analyze if lydian international meets environmental criteria. If the results are positive (which I think will happen according to what the workers say), the demonstrators against lydian would lose all their arguments and the government could act if they continue.
This investment is risky but not completely lost like the other post here.

And for the people who post here, nowadays, there are many mines in the world that rehabilitate the site throughout the mining and put them in very good condition. It is not like in the old days where the mines did what they want without having controls and leave. Now they do lot of work to meet the demands of the people and the populations are in harmony with these projects because there is more to win than to lose. You cannot just be against a project, it's not a win win situation, but you must insist that the mine meets your criteria, rehabilitate the site and control the environmental hazards.
