For this purpose, an ozone steriliser developed in Canada is used, the Getinge Sterizone® VP4. It is sterilized with hydrogen peroxide and ozone, at a temperature of 41 degrees Celsius. The new method should reduce the small risk of microbial pathogens remaining in or on complex flexible endoscopes to zero."
