The last two years would have been much easier on us and more lucretive IMHO.
It is what it is I guess and we will have to hope for the best.
A legitimate thought.
it would have been nice if Tavares would have signed with the Habs, but he didn’t, so we have to move on. Same here, we have to deal with reality. 2 major factors that changed the faith of the CSeries short history: 1- The significant cost overrun of developing the CSeries. 2- The late entry into service (EIS). Cost overruns in the aerospace industry when developing a new aircraft is not unusual but it nearly crippled Bombardier! Late EIS is also the norm with a new aircraft but it irritated a few potential buyers, namely Qatar Airways. Who knows what could have happened if things would have gone smoother, but my feeling is that Bombardier would still own 100% of the program. Although Airbus might have gotten the deal of the century by getting control of the CSeries, without Airbus, Bombardier might have been on the verge of bankruptcy once again. This is the reality! And I am positive about the future of Bombardier. The best case scenario for Bombardier would have been to receive a few billions to relinquish control, sometimes I wonder if they could even have maintained control on top of that. Unfortunately, time was of the essence and Bombardier was not in the driver seat anymore.
Good luck to all!
