RE:RE:RE:Finally, a company update
RE:RE:RE:Finally, a company updateI've been around enough mining projects to have seen cases where a minority can undermine the credibility of a mine by making spurious claims. I have also seen mining companies do stupid things that effectively destroy their potential. If Lydian didn't follow international best practice, they deserve to lose their mine. But, if they did, and in spite of the prior corruption in government, will you accept their ability to operate? I have seen those opposed to mining use so-called experts that come up with completely erroneous findings. The fact that you say that it is a dirty mine and polluted water indicates your predilection. As I noted before, it's up to the new government to assess what Lydian has done, if it has followed proper social and environmental practices, and, if it doesn't have a negative impacts, that it should be able to proceed. Although you don't want to believe it, mining and agriculture and tourism can co-exist. Yes, Lydian is a young company, but its management know mining and (should) know that they need to follow international best practice.
