RE:RE:Canopy Q4 Results Hubris Trumps TransparencyRegrets MomeMan, as usual you miss the reality of common sense.
No reputable Accounting firm cares to give a mj per gm "methology"
They will lose countless mj clients world wide.
What the WORLD mj industry will use (mj gram product costing methology) is the FARMING cost basis used by
agricultural 1,000acre ++ of USA Famers. (multy of them., already established )
Then the various mj Associations, lobby their politicians and ... at some point the mj and
Govt agree to the per gm cost formula.. Stamped by Accountants., good to go.
Not resolving for another 3years.....
just saying.... truth is real...., pain is hurt .., stupid is inbred...

MomentumMan - (7/8/2018 8:32:52 PM) RE:Canopy Q4 Results Hubris Trumps Transparency It would be intelligent for Aphria to go to one of the big auditing firms whether it be Ernst & Young, KPMG or Deloitte and request for a standardized methodology for the entire cannabis industry to follow to calculate true cost per a gram. Then the competition has no way to hide. We all know Aphria has the lowest cost per gram and Bruce is just trying to hide facts behind smoke and mirrors.
Excerpt from July 2017 annual report.
CALCULATION OF CASH COSTS TO PRODUCE DRIED CANNABIS PER GRAM – USING COMPETITORS’ DEFINITION While the Company believes strongly in its definition of cash costs to produce dried cannabis per gram, certain of its publicly traded competitors are disclosing a similar metric but for which they are using a different definition of cash costs.
The primary differences between Aphria’s definition and certain competitors’ definition is that Aphria’s definition includes the costs related to indirect labour expenses and quality control costs. Aphria believes that both of these expenses should be included in any cash cost calculation. However, for the sole purpose of presenting a figure which is comparable to this other definition, we re-calculated our cash costs to produce dried cannabis per gram as follows:
