He is in jail for dealing ahead of issuing his own analyst reports, a form of insider dealing. https://www.biospace.com/article/former-zacks-analyst-jason-napodano-will-spend-4-months-in-prison-for-insider-trading-scheme/ The shorters who intend to depress the market price to shake out nervous longs are market manipulators and are creating a false market in the stock.
