I know there was early investment from APH, and I think Alan Gertner's father, Lorne, is on some other Boards with Vic from APH....WEED must've thought their Tweed stores might not cut it up against Medmen when they come to Canada...very interesting play by Bruce to say the least...
EXACTLY*
Hey diligence -- not convinced on the APH part I but I sure hope they swoop in with a better offer ? Maybe behind the scenes there is a lot going in we dontt know about **
But my gut feeling is tweed seen how HIKU PLATFORM was expanding rapidly and with Weedmd cash on hand and scalability they were drawing attention....like you said wipe em out....I guess we should all have seen this type of stuff happening with canopy but I was hoping Alan and the boys would force a hostile takeover not hand em the keys ....you would think HIkU could've planned this much better for us small retail investors to reap the benefits of a canopy acquisition .,..if you woulda told me cpl months ago canopy was going to acquire us I would've maybe said sweet ! 3-4- bucks here we come lol...*****and I don't dwell on SP I never have in all my posts .*** I stick to future growth but I am forced to talk about price as we are getting a raw deal....SEEMS THEY WANTED US OUT OF THE PICTURE ****
TWEED CAN KEEP THEIR AA weed they wanted them some real DOJA ...that and some jackman branding IMO...pfff
Bruce also talked about how he wanted tweed mainstreet to be more than a dispensary , a place to mingle..The longer a customer stays usually the more money they spend....Not to many out there that had the platform HIKU Was building with their Tokyo smoke coffee shop /dispensary/accessories settings ....another strategic move by Bruce was forward thinking *in regards to Doug FORD changes Ontario regulations to include private sales at TS would be huge *they are well positioned for that as already* plug and play.
