Re : Doaktown To Miramichi By canoe .....nice way to spend the day lot of tall ship building history along the way imagine the size of the tall timber from 1755 to the late 1800 's Cunard Shipping Lines strated here great life style laiback worked hard some became millionaires constructed large mansions along the river , paddle past Ritchie Wharf downtown keep on going down the river go under a large bridge keep paddling finallly the open sea straight ahead Europe : )
Now back to 2018 folks set up in a basement with computers maipulating a 36 cent gold stock for the past year + 1 cent - cent truly a disgusting way to operate a gold mining project and a disgusting way to treat investors .. Currently the trend lines are compresed meaning not much will happen for a period of time unless Doug Ford Cleans out the folks reponsible for this disgusting display of Junior Mining stock market manipulation !!!
Doaktown
Nestled in the valley of the Main Southwest Miramichi River, Doaktown is a village known for its quiet friendliness and easy going lifestyle. Visit us, stay awhile, tour the Atlantic Salmon Museum and the Doak Historic Site. Enjoy a meal in our restaurants and visit our shops. Stay overnight at one of our world famous outfitters where you can enjoy canoeing, kayaking or tubing on the river. Perhaps you want to try fly fishing for an Atlantic salmon. Not far from our village is New Brunswick’s tallest waterfall and one of the few remaining suspension footbridges. While here you may experience a kitchen party with local songs and stories, a church supper, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Our river and forest provide many opportunities for adventure and sightseeing. A popular attraction is the longest suspension footbridge in New Brunswick. The McNamee/ Priceville footbridge spans 200 meters across the Miramichi River oering a spectacular view and for the faint of heart, a clench-sted walk to the other side.
