Good and bad newsRead it and weep (or jump for joy for all I care).
The bad - Lundin is out of the picture. Their horrible attempt to steal one of the absolute best copper assets in the world today, has come and gone. You'll sooner see Jimmy Hoffa and Elvis dining together than another bid from them (and Katusa, who had more than a fly going for him, telegraphed that and why he went on to his next promotion).
The not so good - There is no one else on the verge of a takeover bid. Looking for a quick flip - look elsewhere.
The good news - serious discussions among key players in Serbia (RIO, FCX, NSU and a name that can't be disclosed at this time) about some sort of consortium and/or M &A between key projects, continues.
The bonus - News out of Eritrea is now expected to allow valuations of NSU's several projects there a major re-rating over the next 12 months. More money being considered now for projects there in last week or two than last 10 -20 years. Can only help NSU.
Only real question - Why not a peep on any exploration in Serbia? Nothing like some new sizzle to wet the appetite.
I return the pom poms now to the rightful owner, Tony.
