there are some very good Canadian companies that have growing business portfolios there, whereas the market cap is suppressed due to federal illegalities. The US is not dissimilar to what Canada was like a few years ago. For example, Sunniva has a 100,000 kg facility coming online this quarter in California and another in BC under construction @100,000 kg full capacity with 100,000 medical patients at the NHS cannabis clinics. They already have 16 million revenue pre-cultivation and a very low share count (lowest dilution in the MJ market). They are splitting into two companies towards the end of the year to list Canadian company on the TSX and Nasdaq. As well they have a 90,000 kg supply deal with Canopy and the California phase 1 looks to be sold out ahead of harvest. current market is 260 million, so a multiple bagger almost certain. That's one example :)
