Correct, the wedges will give them an idea as to how the deposit is laying and whether further step out holes should be drilled. If it is a decent sized deposit, maybe they will drop a shaft in to the mine plan. It could be used for the already established deposits.

I like the sound of a porphyry type deposit, even if it is at depth. Decent grade will be required to make it profitable to mine.
