RE:What is upside if U spot price stays low? Good post teevee. Interesting idea and in line with the sort of approach Curyer would likely take. The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) is the Federal Government body that licenses and regulates Uranium mines and asociated facilities in Canada. There is a regulatory approval process that must be followed where all stakeholders can have their say through public hearings. Unfortunately while it is a very transparent and fair process it does take time. One of the contentious issues is usually tailings ponds and their long term maintenance and con struction, and I think this is why NXE has opted for locking the material up in a concrete mix and putting it right back down the mine. It is a very clever strategy and one I thinkl that will appeal to the CNSC regulators. I have found the CNSC to be a very reasonable body to deal with and provided you follow the various codes and standards that apply to Uranium mining operations I think there will be few issues getting a mining license. However I would suggest 5 years out is a reasonable time to get this mine approved. And that of course will deppend on the other mining applications being received at the same time....so those to get their submission in early will be first out the gate when it comes to getting a Federal approval.
