RE:RE:RE:Coincident with 232 news, U3O8 Spot nearing YTD High

RE:RE:RE:Coincident with 232 news, U3O8 Spot nearing YTD HighMy information paints a similar picture Quakes. Nobody in their right mind would enter into a contract that could never be completed. The enrichment question is one that needs to be answered. All US reactors require enriched uranium. It is worth noting that Canadian plants do not require enrichment plants. So with no enrichment facilities of its own the US Uranium must be exported and once enriched must be imported again. A ban on fuel imports will mean either the US will have to finish building an enrichment plant or exemptions are made for enriched uranium.
The US is very much at the mercy of Russia....precisely what President Putin planned for. Russia controls 60% of enrichment capability and it needs all of it to supply the reactor contracts it has signed. NO capability left for the USA at any price. THe only enricher left is Urenco with sufficient capability to meet US demand.
My guess is the US will fast track construction of enrichment capability. It will rely on Canada and its own resources for the raw material. in the meantime U prices are going to escalate.
Great post Quakes. thanks once again.
