RE:Shorters on this board are getting nervous !!!I have no idea who the real 'shorters' may be...or 'pumpers' etc, but it has long been a tedious feature of Stockhouse boards for various participants to bicker and slag each other off for their 'opinions'. I too scan the boards for those stocks I hold, like Aurora, in the hope of finding useful/informed commentary or observations. Most of it is frankly...speculation...good or bad.
For my part, I think Aurora has considerable strategic vision and has moved rapidly to achieve a dominant market position in what is after-all a new global marketplace, ie, legalised cannabis and derviative applications. The dimensions of the market are certain to be very big indeed...but visibility and hard predctions do have a lot of near/medium term uncertainty.
The issue we face is simply that Aurora is paying up for its bold strategic position...and financing same with bought deals...and using a lot of convertible securities. There is a hell of a lot of embedded dilution in these financings. When the stock is appreciating...we tend to forget about the fully diluted impact of these deals...but the big institutions know the reality. I think patient shareholders will be rewarded...but the timeline may be measured in years...not months. Consequently I have sold down a lot of my holdings and taken realistic gains. My long position is much reduced and I can watch patiently from a position of reduced exposure. Others may take a different stance...but this seems sensible to me. Cheers and good luck!
