RE:Nothing on L2

RE:Nothing on L2I used to pay for Real-Time Level 2 service but I canceled some time ago and I don't even bother to look at Level 2 anymore.

Why?

Most brokerages (used by the Banksters and Hedge Funds) never show their hands and normally sell at the Market without advance disclosure of their intent.

However, the biggest reason I do not rely on Level 2 is that there are so many exchanges being used to facilitate trades. When you view "Level 2", you are viewing only the shares that are available for Bid/Ask through the Cdn exchange.

I have personally sold 20,000 shares of a stock that was settled on 4 exchanges at exactly the same time. Only the Cdn exchange has transparency as to the settlement.

As an example, the total trading of TNY today (as of 12:29 pm) involved only 43,800 shares, however, these trades were dispersed on over 5 exchanges.
