RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Hemp Rain - old technologyOnset / offset predictability is just one of the advantages of truly water soluble. Not sure if the other processes can make that claim but this may be more of a concern of the bigger manufacturers and as has been mentioned, maybe this won’t be a big concern with the recreational consumer.
What Sproutly offers the beverage/edible/pharmaceutical industry is a strain specific water soluble product that because of it’s ease of infusion will streamline the whole process and save a ton of money and logistical headaches.
This doesn’t mean there won’t be a place for beer brewed from mash... but beer brewed from mash is not delivering the innovation this industry demands. If Sproutly’s claims are accurate, they will be on another level here with how they can supply this market.
Staying tuned for joint venture announcements.
BarstoolSage wrote: Not quite as I understand it. The direct brew from THC plant material will not discriminate...you get everything in the plant that gets captured in the mash and then brewed...while Sproutly can offer specifically isolated water soluble ingredients.
But you could brew from specific strains of plant very easily and both claim "fast" and predictable onset..
The "isolate and just add water" is just another approach..and Sproutly can tout its benefits and will likely do well thank you very much...but every alternative will have its own benefits that can act as a point of differentiation.
So although I like and own some Sproutly, it is by no means superior in all ways over its alternatives. Fast onset is not necessarily the only desirable quality in all "infused beverages"

Sproutly Is the only company that has the answer... just add water.
BarstoolSage wrote: This is Sproutly's point of differentiation and will allow them to compete in this space. But there are all kinds of things being tried, Yesterday I read that the very first beer made out of actual Cannabis plant material has been brewed and it also has a short onset time...so this means that there is some kind of water\plant material mash that gets created, "refined" and then brewed.
I expect lots of experimentation as the market develops
