$6/share now…or…$20/share later?

$6/share now…or…$20/share later?
And everything in between!

If Air Canada makes a genuine takeover offer of  $6/share now, it will seem like a bargain relative to the $20/share value Aimia will have once the full impact of the Aeroplan 2.0 business strategy is announced and implemented.

So far, some aspects of the Aeroplan 2.0 plan have been announced and shock waves have been felt by Air Canada.

For example, the announced Aeroplan partnership with ultra-low cost airlines and its planned charter service will be good for Aeroplan members and good for airline competition in Canada.  This Aeroplan quasi-airline will be a serious competitor to Air Canada.

For now, Aimia should continue with business as usual, continue with the planning and implementation of Aeroplan 2.0 to become a global scale loyalty management program that will have a value of 10X to 100X of what Aimia is today.

Every day that goes by, and with every new announcement by Aimia of the Aeroplan 2.0 business strategy…the takeover price to Air Canada goes UP!
