The deal involves a site over 11,000 ft above sea level. MGX Minerals mi is the is the only company able to do this project as the uual evaporation process will not work.

The key involves having the technologies to remove lithium and other minerals from the hot geothermal vent feeding the dry salt lake and pumping soft hot water down to the lowest region of the salar so the lithium dissolves and is then pumped up for further rapid lithium removal.

No one else has this technology- to remove lithium from very hot water.
