Air Canada Offer Merely An "Opening Bid"

Air Canada Offer Merely An "Opening Bid"
Correct...this is not an adequate offer from Air Canada.

It is merely an opening bid.

Now, Aimia/Aeroplan is in play and the serious negotiations begin.

This is why many Bullboard posters are recommending "No" as a response to the Air Canada offer.

If it was the share price would have moved to the $3.60 / $3.65 range and hovered there rather than the pinball moves of today. Basically AC + banks are looking to buy the AP business for $250 mil ($2.25 bil - $2 bil liability) Rant and rave all you want about "potential" value but keep in mind that the institutional investors and analysts who probably been ignoring AIM for a reason and tomorrow it could be back to where it was yesterday if they ignore the bid and no one else comes forward
