You're probably right that they're not breaking new ground, but they are applying 4G to new applications. They are moving towards automated drone surveillance and operational/environmental scanning in order to secure contracts from large companies (thing CN, Rogers, Pipeleines, infrastructure, etc.). I know that UAV wants to be able to become the outsourced drone solution for large companies that would rather pay for a service than acquire a bunch of drones. By having 4G enabled control systems, all they need to do is plug in a flight pattern and let the drones do the work. No matter what environment they're in! Anyways, this is a wonderful move in a very strategic direction.
