This was mainly due to the number of Airbus orders, via L3. From order to installation was not long, since L3 only ordered units when customers was ready to have them installed. It is a mistake to say that Flyht does not make profit on a unit by unit basis. The margin on direct sales is over 50%, and the margin on L3 sales is over 90%, if memory recalls. But L3 sales only generate royalties, which are much less than direct sales./
If we ever get the Boeing OEM it will be a direct deal, so these sales will generate significantly more profit than the L3 deal. (I believe this information was in one of Tom's newletters.)
