RE:RE:RE:Canada Jetlines .. Canada's ONLY " PURE " ULCC Airline !!

RE:RE:RE:Canada Jetlines .. Canada's ONLY " PURE " ULCC Airline !! Truth be told, Jetlines benefits in one very specific way from higher fuel prices - Flair's planes cannot fly from Ontario to BC without a pit stop. Two take offs is a huge expense.

If they change their planes, that's more training, and higher costs again. Swoop will have to operate at a loss to compete with a pure ULCC, and sure - they can do that for a while, but the toll will be WJA's stock dropping. Does the name 'Pan Am' sound familar anymore? That's what happens when cutbacks are forced inside a regular carrier that fails to turn profits, it was a systematic collapse. Westjet will have to back off, or become another footnote as Air Canada rolls right over them.

I'm a big believer in due diligence though. I would sit on either side of the fence for this argument, but the results of the research I've done and continue to do puts me squarely in this stock for the long haul. I'm yet to read anything credible out there that would indicate that Jetlines will be anything but the real deal, and from what I've seen so far, and from the behavioural history of the decision makers - these guys won't quit until they have a successful airline up and running.

But setting aside my sense of logic - I hope they make it too, since as a Canadian I can't help but root for the underdog. Call it a bias, but call me a Canadian too.

On a serious note, how will Jetlines insulate themselves from those same fuel prices? They simply can't. And anyone smart, dumb, logical or illogical should see that. Logic out.
