There is no mystery here. The stock is heavily shorted. As of July 16, 40% of all trades are short. That is a crazy amount of shorting.Those persistent shorts have dampened enthusiasm. As a result volume is low. Why are they shorting? I doubt it's because they don't see the value. Either they're seeking short term profits, or using it as part of an accumulation strategy at depressed pricing, or both.
This makes it difficult for realize near term gains for shareholders. Long term is another story. I'm expecting this Company to suddenly reevaluate sharply higher at some point. Not by 25 cents, but a buck or two. The only factor that can derail this would be a global economic meltdown. I'm not talking about a 3000 point or so correction on the Dow, but a real market collapse, like in October 2008.
You need to adopt trading strategy to the conditions. It depends what your objectives are. You can seek near term profits through swing trades and/or accumulate. The Company is now fully financed for the next few years. So, dilution at depressed levels is less of a concern.
