RE:Paper Spreading - Value Booster or Red Herring? I somewhat agree. I think management of MJ companies are looking for ways to create value since the market boom has slowed significantly. Growth is what markets generally like and you will get that in any spinout as they attempt to spread their own wings and create their own market for shares.
Take a look at MTEC as a spin out. At one point it's market cap was higher than the company that it was spun out of. Likely because there's a better projected growth rate and the fact that managment has purchased shares daily on the open markets as well as through options exercise at market prices. I think it's all about projected growth rate and whether management actually comes through with what they promise shareholders. Those that come thru will be rewarded.
